Aubert is a boutique estate that produces Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wines from single-vineyard sites in Napa Valley and Sonoma. Founded by husband-and-wife Mark and Teresa Aubert in 1999, it is regarded to be one of California’s cult wine labels. The Larry Hyde & Sons Chardonnay, grown in the maritime-influenced area of San Pablo Bay, is where white Burgundy meets California. From Aubert’s coolest site, the 2015 vintage reflects the site`s cool climatic conditions, with aromas of ripe citrus and stone fruit emerging from the glass. The palate offers a balance between richness and acidity, typical of its terroir, making it suitable for ageing. This wine exemplifies minimal intervention in winemaking.
