Bellavista Franciacorta Rose 2020

Drink it now or cellar for up to 15 years. No need to decant. The Bellavista winery is located in Lombardy, in the heart of Franciacorta, home to Italy's most prestigious sparkling wines. Here, the proximity of Lake Iseo and the protection of the Alps create ideal conditions for growing grape varieties such as Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. This elegant vintage sparkling rosé is made with a blend of mostly Chardonnay and approximately one-third Pinot Noir. After manual harvesting and vinification, the selected base wines (approximately 30) are blended, and the finished wine ages on the lees for three years. The result is a refined wine with a fragrant character. Production is limited, making this wine particularly sought-after. In the glass, the wine reveals a luminous pink color and a fine, persistent perlage. Its aromatic profile is rich and broad, with notes of wild strawberries and red berries, alternating with rose petals and citrus, and followed by hints of yeast and brioche. On the palate, it is lively and soft, silky and fresh, with a pleasant, distinctive minerality and well-balanced acidity. The finish is long and recalls the aromas perceived on the nose. It is the perfect summer aperitif for a special occasion and pairs beautifully with seafood and sushi.
