Beychevelle 1961 is a mature-vintage, Cabernet Sauvignon-based red wine from the Fourth Growth Château Beychevelle in St-Julien. This beautiful estate covers 250 hectares of which about 90 are planted with vines. Always one of the more approachable wines of the appellation, Beychevelle has enjoyed a consistent run of good to excellent vintages in recent years, though older wines from top vintages are also well worth looking out for.
