Beychevelle 2003 is a mature, medium-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon-based red wine from the St Julien appellation of Bordeaux. Château Beychevelle is a Fourth Growth Bordeaux producer situated in the Saint-Julien appellation. This beautiful estate covers 250 hectares of which about 90 are planted with vines. Always one of the more approachable wines of the appellation, Beychevelle has enjoyed a consistent run of good to excellent vintages in recent years. "Despite the extreme heat of June, July and August, this beautiful wine’s terroir shows through. A dense plum/purple colour is accompanied by sweet cassis and black currant aromas, broad, round, juicy fruit flavours, medium body, and hints of figs, spice box and cedar. This complete, juicy, fully mature, impressive wine can be consumed over the next 7-8 years." Wine Advocate, 2014
