Boekenhoutskloof’s Syrah is sourced from parcels of the finest Syrah cultivated in their Swartland farms, primarily from Porseleinberg [88%] and Goldmine [12%] near Riebeek-Kasteel. Porseleinberg vineyards boast a distinctive terroir of decomposed Mica-Schist, while Goldmine vineyards, situated on the slopes of Kasteelberg, feature Brown Schist with Table Mountain Sandstone deposits. It is a particular combination that produces a concentrated and structured expression of this quintessentially Rhône variety.
