' Bolney Wine Estates is considered as one of the pioneers of the English wine industry, with 50 years of experience under its belt. Located in the heart of rural Sussex, the first vines were planted in 1972 by Rodney and Janet Pratt, the parents of Sam Linter who headed the family business until recently. Bolney now produces an array of award-winning red, white, rose and sparkling English wines. The winery won UK Wine Producer of the Year in the International Wine and Spirit Competition in 2012. Since then, it was also presented with the title of Winery of the Year 2017 at the UK Wine Awards. The estate has continues to invest in specialist machinery and, in 2019, it opened a new state-of-the-art winery. With the ethos Guided by Nature since 1972, sustainability is at the heart of the winery's operations.
