The Cakebread Dancing Bear Ranch 2013 is a Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant Bordeaux blend from the producer`s Dancing Bear Ranch estate vineyard on the steep, rugged slopes of Howell Mountain in Napa Valley. The 2013 vintage is a powerful mountain-style wine, showcasing a dense purple colour and intense aromas of ripe boysenberry, dark plum and cassis layered with scents of loam, dark chocolate and spice. The palate is concentrated, full-bodied, and structured with well-managed, ripe tannins, culminating in a very long finish that highlights the dark berry fruit, earth and mineral tones characteristic of mountain fruit.
