Campbells is one of Rutherglen’s longest‑established family wineries, now in its fifth generation and known for combining traditional techniques with a clear focus on regional identity. While the estate is most famous for its fortified wines, its red programme draws on mature, low‑yielding vineyards planted on the district’s classic red loam over clay. The Brothers Shiraz is sourced from selected parcels intended to show both the generosity and the savoury depth that Rutherglen Shiraz can deliver, with maturation in a mix of French and American oak to build structure and complexity. The 2016 vintage is full and expressive, offering ripe blackberry, plum and dark cherry alongside notes of mocha, spice and a touch of dried herb. The palate is rich and rounded, with concentrated dark fruit framed by supple tannins and well‑integrated oak. Hints of chocolate and warm spice carry through to a long, smooth finish. A bold, classically styled Rutherglen Shiraz that shows the warmth and ripeness of the region while retaining balance and approachability. Campbells of Rutherglen
