Merchant's description

Chambrun 2012 is a red Bordeaux from the Lalande-de-Pomerol appellation, a commune separated from Pomerol by the Barbanne river. This bottling is a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc sourced from clay and gravel soils typical of the area. It presents a nose of dark berries, liquorice and espresso, with a firm, concentrated palate of ripe black cherry and plum. The wine is medium-bodied with a fresh acidity and firm, chalky tannins. The double-magnum bottle format significantly slows the ageing process, allowing for further evolution of the wine`s tertiary characteristics.
