Merchant's description

Château Ducru-Beaucaillou 1997 is a mature-vintage Cabernet Sauvignon-based red wine from the St-Julien appellation. The blend typically comprises a majority of Cabernet Sauvignon, with portions of Merlot and a small percentage of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The estate`s 50 hectares of vineyards are situated on gravel beds enriched with alluvial deposits. This vintage is characterised by a deep colour and presents notes of blackcurrant and plum, alongside subtle earthiness. Maturation occurs in oak barriques for 18 months, contributing to its complexity.
