Based in Gevrey-Chambertin, Domaine Armand Rousseau unquestionably sits amongst the greats of Burgundy with a portfolio of wines from some of the most revered vineyards in the region. Cyrielle Rousseau is now assuming more control of day-to-day operations and is maintaining the incredible quality standards of her predecessors. From the sublime 2018 vintage, the entire Rousseau range is blessed with effortless balance of endlessly complex fruit, texture and tension, with wonderful vineyard definition. This Grand Cru Charmes-Chambertin is produced from 0.61ha and 0.86ha of old vines in Charmes and Mazoyères, respectively. In previous vintages this was matured exclusively in seasoned barrels, but this saw a proportion of 20% new wood used.
