Merchant's description

Vincent Dancer Chassagne-Montrachet Morgeots 2018 is a medium-bodied Burgundy white wine from the Premier Cru climat of Morgeots in the Chassagne-Montrachet appellation of the Côte de Beaune. Born in Alsace, Vincent Dancer is a relatively new producer who adopts a minimal intervention approach to winemaking. He set up his domaine in the lower part of Chassagne-Montrachet in 1996 and more recently has been joined by his son Théo. On the 2018 Morgeots. "The 2018 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeot hails from a parcel planted at the beginning of the last decade at a density of 20,000 vines per hectare. Revealing aromas of yellow orchard fruit, peach, beeswax and dried white flowers, it`s medium to full-bodied, deep and layered, with fine concentration and length. Right now, it isn`t quite as integrated as the Grands Charrons, but it will be interesting to revisit from bottle." William Kelley, 2020
