Chateau Montelena is one of the oldest and most illustrious Napa estates and undoubtedly helped place California on the fine wine map when it took out one of the top prizes at the 1976 ‘Judgement of Paris’. The 1994 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is a medium-bodied yet muscular release with superb freshness of fruit and delicately subtle savoury nuances. This would be delicious served alongside roasted rib of beef.
