Merchant's description

Château Clerc-Milon 2001 is a full-bodied red wine from the Pauillac appellation of Bordeaux. Clerc-Milon is a Fifth Growth property owned by the Baron Philippe de Rothschild family (who also own Château Mouton Rothschild and Château d’Armailhac). Clerc-Milon`s vineyards neighbour those of the First Growths Mouton and Lafite, and are planted with about 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot and the rest smaller proportions of Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Carmenère. "Very deep colour, well-extracted tobacco leaf nose, with floral overtones, more densely structured than Armailhac, very good firm fruit, very Pauillac, a great success." Decanterm, 2012
