Clos de Tart is a 7.5-hectare monopole Grand Cru vineyard located just south of Morey-St-Denis and, with Sylvain Pitiot at the helm since 1996, quality and consistency has increased extraordinarily in recent years. With meticulous attention to detail paid to work in both the vineyard and cellar, Clos de Tart Grand Cru is crafted from the best plots of older vines. The 2009 is a sensational wine of seamless balance and precision. Sometimes quite closed on opening, this is a wine that really rewards patience and being afforded a large glass in which it can properly aerate. Drink now until 2040.
