Domaine de la Romanée-Conti – or simply ‘DRC’ – is undoubtedly one of the most prestigious wine producers in the world. Unlike other great Burgundy estates, Romanée-Conti’s strategy has always been to focus on a small number of grand cru vineyards, such as Echézeaux, where DRC owns a 4.67-hectare plot. This is a rare bottle of the 1986 vintage, which was originally imported to the US by the California-based agency Wilson Daniels.
