The 2006 Ermitage Rouge Ex Voto from E Guigal is a 100% Syrah produced only in exceptional vintages, from a blend of prime parcels on the Hermitage hill. The grapes are sourced from four specific sites. Les Bessards, Les Greffieux, L`Ermite and Les Murets. The wine shows a deep dark ruby colour with mauve tints. The intense, powerful bouquet offers notes of black fruit, leather, liquorice, coffee and oriental spices. It is a full-bodied, highly concentrated wine, distinguished by a rich, powerful palate, significant tannic structure and a long, concentrated finish. This wine is known for its remarkable structure, power, and age-worthiness, having been aged for an extended period of 42 months in 100% new oak barrels.
