Field Recordings Skins is an orange wine made from a blend of Chenin Blanc, Pinot Gris, Albariño, Verdelho and Riesling. The grapes are grown in the Central Coast of California and are fermented on their skins for 29 days. The wine is then aged in stainless steel tanks for 6 months. It is a dry wine boasting notes of orange peel, apricot and marzipan. A great example of the type of wines that are being made by small, independent winemakers in California.
