Dominio de Pingus in the Ribera del Duero was founded in 1995 by Danish winemaker, Peter Sisseck. Though considered a second wine, Flor de Pingus is a wonderful wine in its own right, made from old vine Tempranillo fermented in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts and matured predominantly in seasoned oak barrels of various sizes. The 2016 is superbly well balanced with effortless harmony between rich, ripe fruit and delicate floral nuance, underpinned by abundant innate freshness and smooth, velvety tannins.
