Fontenil Magnum 2005
Fontenil Magnum 2005 is a dry, very full-bodied red from Cabernet Sauvignon (Bordeaux Right Bank, France), in the full, structured reds style. Tannins are very firm and acidity fresh; oak influence is noticeable. Those scales describe the wine when young; this is a 21-year-old bottle and its tannin and oak will have softened. Good with steak, lamb, venison, cheese board.

Fontenil 2000 is a full-bodied, Cabernet Sauvignon-based red wine from the Fronsac appellation of Bordeaux. Château Fontenil is owned and operated by the illustrious duo of oenologists, Dany and Michel Rolland. "May be the finest yet produced by Michel Rolland and his wife Dany. The exquisite purity of the black raspberry fruit intermixed with liquorice and vanillin is impressive. Moreover, this saturated purple-coloured wine is full, rich, and precise. Look for it to drink well for 10-15 years… a sleeper of the vintage." Robert Parker, 2001
