Merchant's description

The vintage provided some challenges. A relatively warm winter meant that flowering began in early spring and a frost at the end of April affected some of the crops. Hail storms in July and August also caused damage in the vineyards and the yields were subsequently lower than normal. However, the quality of the grapes was good. Ruby red in colour, with notes of black cherries, plum jam, cinnamon and some light earthy aromas. Fresh and lively on the palate, this Pinot Nero is very pleasant to drink.
