Established in 1955, Claude Dugat is a boutique Domaine with a solid reputation, widely considered one of the best producers in Gevrey-Chambertin. Claude is the cousin of another well-regarded Burgundy producer Bernard Dugat, who owns Domaine Dugat-Py. This particular cuvée comes from Lavaux-Saint-Jacques, a Premier Cru vineyard situated just west of the Gevrey-Chambertin village. The 1995 vintage yielded a small crop but produced high quality wines built for long ageing.
