Merchant's description

Domaine Taupenot-Merme crafts this premier cru from the Bel Air vineyard on Gevrey-Chambertin's slopes, where old vines dig deep into limestone-rich soils. The 2019 vintage shows the domain's signature elegance: dark cherry fruit wrapped in forest floor earthiness, with that mineral spine that makes great Gevrey sing. This is Gevrey-Chambertin with patience rewarded. The wine needs another year to fully integrate, but from 2027 onwards it will unfurl into something rather special. We find Taupenot-Merme's wines age gracefully, gaining complexity while keeping their essential freshness intact.
