Château de Saint Cosme`s 2007 Gigondas Hominis Fides is a distinguished red wine from the Southern Rhône, produced entirely from Grenache grapes harvested from 90-year-old vines rooted in limestone and sand soils. This vintage presents aromas of forest floor and hints of fennel. On the palate, flavours of strawberry compote and allspice are prominent. The wine exhibits superb intensity, with well-integrated acidity, tannins, and alcohol, leading to a long finish. Founded in 1490, Château de Saint Cosme is the oldest estate in the Gigondas appellation, known for its traditional winemaking practices. “It’s certainly the greatest Gigondas I’ve ever tasted and possibly the greatest Gigondas ever made.” Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate 2017. 100 points.
