Part of the Marchesi Antinori group since the 1930s, the Guado al Tasso estate is situated in the small yet prestigious Bolgheri DOC, along the upper Maremma coastline. The DOC Bolgheri achieved official recognition in 1995 and has since become a globally acknowledged benchmark in the Italian and international markets. Guado Al Tasso`s flagship wine typically consists of a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and occasionally a dash of Petit Verdot. The 2011 vintage offers violet aromas on the nose, complemented by vibrant red fruit notes and a subtle hint of herbs and spices. While there are subtle hints of leather and tobacco, they are not overly prominent. This Super Tuscan boasts a well-defined style, reminiscent of Left Bank Bordeaux yet with its unique character. The wine finishes with high-quality, clean precision.
