Krug Clos du Mesnil 1989 is a prestige-cuvée vintage Champagne produced by the house of Krug in Krug in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. Clos du Mesnil is a rare blanc de blancs produced only in exceptional years from a single 1.84-hectare plot in the heart of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. Krug embarked on a restoration of this historic plot in 1971 and this 1979 bottling is the inaugural vintage release. "The `89 is one of the richest and most delicious vintages ever produced from Clos du Mesnil. Purists may say that the wine is a little over ripe, but I love its almond depth and super long length. This, to me, embodies pure hedonistic pleasure." Decanter, 2017
