Merchant's description
The year of 1976 was a very hot one in Champagne, culminating in a bumper harvest and exceptionally soft, ripe grapes. The wines have subsequently developed a remarkable finesse, and Krug in particular. It’s still a very fresh champagne, with a great backbone of acidity. On the nose, hints of coffee, mushrooms and candied orange. High in concentration and length.
