Merchant's description

Lafite Rothschild 2000 is a full-bodied, Cabernet Sauvignon-based red wine from the Pauillac appellation of Bordeaux. Tracing its history back to 1234, Château Lafite Rothschild is an iconic First Growth property spanning 110 hectares in Pauillac. Château Lafite Rothschild produces a legendary eponymous first wine showcasing beautiful aromatics and an extraordinary capacity to age. Available here in magnum format, the 2000 Château Lafite Rothschild is a blend of 93% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7% Merlot. It is a tightly wound and intense release yet, with time in the decanter, unfurls to reveal wonderfully deep notes of cassis, mulberry, plum, rolling tobacco, cedar, dried spring flowers and graphite. Seamless and precise, with remarkably fine tannins and extraordinary length, this is a timeless classic.
