Château Lanessan is a relatively under-the-radar estate situated in Cussac-Fort-Médoc. The vineyard is planted predominantly to Cabernet Sauvignon, followed by smaller proportions of Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. The 1983 vintage is now fully mature, offering aromas of dried cherries, spices, cinnamon, clove, cedar, leather, tobacco and balsamic. The palate combines notes of coffee, coconut, dark chocolate and vanilla, complemented by a slight hint of mint on the finish.
