Château Lascombes 2000 is a medium- to full-bodied, Cabernet Sauvignon-based red wine from the Margaux appellation of Bordeaux. Château Lascombes is an illustrious Second Growth estate in Margaux. Typically the property`s grand vin is a blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot, and is aged in 50-60% new oak barriques for 18 months. On the 2000 vintage. "The first of a succession of brilliant wines that have emerged from this previously moribund estate over the last decade, the fully mature 2000 Lascombes is an outstanding effort. Notes of cedarwood, roasted herbs, incense, black cherries, and currants emerge from this medium-bodied, evolved Margaux." Wine Advocate, 2010
