Latour 2003 is a mature bottling of the First Growth Pauillac estate Latour. The 2003 is a blend of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot and 1% Petit Verdot, matured in 100% new French oak. The magnum format has been essential in tempering the natural opulence of the vintage, providing a wine of massive proportions but with remarkable freshness. It displays a decadent bouquet of blackberries, graphite and roasted coffee beans. The tannins are exceptionally ripe and velvety, leading into a monumental finish that confirms its status as one of the greatest wines of the 2003 vintage.
