Latour 2005 is a full-bodied, Cabernet Sauvignon-based red wine from the Pauillac appellation of Bordeaux. The 2005 vintage was widely hailed as exceptional, with very dry, warm and sunny conditions resulting in wines of formidable concentration, complexity and structure. True to form, Château Latour has produced a superlative release that could contest for one of the top wines of the vintage. A blend of 87% Cabernet Sauvignon with the balance of Merlot and Petit Verdot, it is full-bodied, powerful and incredibly deep, offering classical notes of cassis, black cherry, truffle, spring flowers and graphite. Available here in magnum format.
