Léoville-Barton 1995 is a full-bodied, Cabernet Sauvignon-based Bordeaux red wine from the esteemed Second Growth of Château Léoville-Barton in St-Julien. This quintessential claret is produced mainly from Cabernet Sauvignon with smaller proportions of Merlot grown on the gravelly clay soils in the east of St-Julien. The wine is typically matured in 50% new oak for 18 months. "A beautiful wine, with layers of ripe fruit, berry, cedar, vanilla and light spice. Full-bodied, with silky tannins and a long finish. Very, very classy stuff." Wine Enthusiast, 2007
