Situated in the Saint-Julien appellation, Château Léoville-Las Cases is a Second Growth estate that has been owned by the Delon family since the mid-20th century. The property covers approximately 98 hectares of vineyards, which soils are mostly gravel over sand and clay, with some areas where the clay reaches the surface. The 2009 vintage is showing a beautiful blackberry nose, with hints of blackcurrants, and mineral undertones. The palate is perfectly balanced, boasting very smooth tannins, immense depth and complexity.
