Merchant's description

Since the 17th Century, the Grand Vin of Château Margaux has been recognised as being one of the greatest wines in the entire world. The 2005 vintage was superb in Bordeaux and this is yet another beguilingly complex blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Merlot. It is incredibly deep in aroma, offering up captivating scents of sweet black fruits, sandalwood, liquorice, violets, graphite and subtly toasty oak. On the palate it is brilliantly layered and effortlessly harmonious, with remarkable waves of lush fruits lilting along on a fine chassis of tannin, gliding to an extraordinarily long and complex finish. Though beginning to reveal its inner depth, this will have no problem cellaring further for 2-3 decades.
