Masseto 1992 is a renowned Merlot from the celebrated Tenuta dell’Ornellaia estate, located within the Bolgheri appellation. The vineyard`s unique terroir features deep blue clay soils interspersed with gravel and sand, creating an ideal environment for Merlot cultivation. The natural slope and proximity to the coast contribute to its finely defined microclimate. The winemaking process includes hand-harvested grapes, careful sorting, fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel and ageing in French oak barrels.
