Merchant's description
Pétrus is undoubtedly one of the most iconic wines in the world and widely recognized as the crème de la crème of the Pomerol region. The Merlot-based wine comes from an 11.4-hectare vineyard located on a plateau, in the far east of the appellation. The 2009 vintage is a dense and concentrated wine, bursting with red berries, blue fruit, notes of coffee, mocha, chocolate, earth and leather. Approachable now but it should have a long life.
