Merchant's description

Mestres is one of the oldest producers of Cava with a history that dates back as far as 1312. They bottled their first sparkling in 1925 and still use the traditional native grape varieties and winemaking techniques favoured by their ancestors. The 2005 vintage is made from a blend of native Xarel.lo, Macabeo and Parellada varieties. Aged for 12 months in chestnut barrels, this is a real treat from Mestres.
