Domaine Sylvain Cathiard is a boutique wine producer situated in the village of Vosne-Romanée. Sylvain’s son Sébastien has been fully in charge since 2011, overseeing the family’s five hectares of vines spread between Vosne-Romanée, Nuit-Saint-Georges and Chambolle-Musigny. This release hails from Aux Thorey, a southeast-facing Premier Cru vineyard situated on the hill above Nuits-Saint-Georges. The 2020 vintage exhibits an enticing nose, with pronounced notes of dark cherries, cassis, and delicate floral aromas. On the palate, it presents a medium-bodied profile with succulent tannins, excellent structure and a subtle hint of spice. The finish is marked by a gentle grip. As one of Cathiard`s standout offerings, this wine is expected to age gracefully in the bottle.
