Domaine Sylvain Cathiard is a family wine producer situated in the village of Vosne-Romanée. Sylvain’s son Sébastien has been fully in charge since 2011, overseeing their five hectares of vines spread between Vosne-Romanée, Nuit-Saint-Georges and Chambolle-Musigny. This release hails from the Premier Cu ‘Aux Thorey’, where Cathiard owns a 0.43-hectare plot. Similar to numerous neighbouring sites, the calcareous soils within Aux Thorey consist of compact pebbles and gravel. Its orientation has also proven beneficial for winemakers. Positioned towards the southeast, it offers abundant sunlight to the vines throughout the day.
