Merchant's description

Pavillon Rouge du Château Margaux 2020 is a Left Bank Bordeaux and the second wine of the illustrious First Growth Château Margaux. With 82ha of vineyards (75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot), Château Margaux is the leading property in the village of Margaux. The estate produces around 30,000 cases of wine annually, the second wine accounting for around 25% of that total. "The 2020 Pavillon Rouge is excellent, offering up aromas of raspberries and dark berries mingled with hints of cedar and rose petals, followed by a medium to full-bodied, vibrant palate with excellent depth and tension, concluding with a long, chalky finish. It`s more tightly wound than the exceedingly demonstrative 2019, though in the fullness of time, it wouldn`t surprise me if it ended up being just as good." Wine Advocate, 2023
