Peter Michael Winery was founded by British businessman Sir Peter Michael in the early 1980s with a singular vision. "to make wine in the terroir-driven tradition of Burgundy and Bordeaux, under the California sun and in California soil". Consistency and quality are the principles here – the wines are clearly inspired by the poise and precision of their Old World counterparts but can`t help expressing an edge of Californian richness. Mon Plaisir (My Pleasure), is Peter Micheal’s original Chardonnay, planted in one of their mountainside vineyards, entirely from the Old Went clone. Mon Plaisir Chardonnay 2012 is produced in Sonoma County`s Knights Valley AVA. 2012 is generally considered one of the best “Classic and well-balanced only begins to explain the beauty of the 2012 vintage”, “The 2012 Chardonnay vintage displays exceptional structure and quality”. This vintage showcases an array of ripe stone fruits, green apple, and fresh citrus, complemented by subtle almond notes and oak integration. The palate is full-bodied, presenting a balanced acidity that enhances the concentration of fruit flavours.
