Domaine Leflaive Bourgogne Blanc 2017 is a medium-bodied Burgundy white wine from the Premier Cru climat of Clavoillon in the Puligny-Montrachet appellation of the Côte de Beaune. Now led by Brice de la Morandière, Domaine Leflaive is one of the most influential estates in Puligny-Montrachet. The estate focuses almost entirely on white wines made from Chardonnay, including four Grand Cru and four Premier Cru expressions. This particular cuvée comes from Le Clavoillon, a Premier Cru vineyard in the centre of the Puligny-Montrachet appellation where Leflaive owns a 4.8-hectare plot. "Aromas of waxy citrus rind, green apples and light reduction introduce the 2017 Bourgogne Blanc, a medium to full-bodied wine and elegantly glossy attack, a succulent core of fruit, and excellent cut and intensity for its level, concluding with a long finish. This is routinely one of the best generic bottlings to be found, and this year`s rendition is no exception." Wine Advocate, 2019
