The 2004 vintage of Château Rauzan-Ségla is a blend composed of 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 42% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc, and 4% Petit Verdot, matured for 18 months in French oak, with 50% being new barrels. The Merlot is contributing a chocolatey richness, adding depth and plenty of flavour, while the ageing Cabernet brings forth a mature character, lending structural support.
