Merchant's description

Biondi-Santi Rosso di Montalcino 2022 is a pure Sangiovese sourced from the younger vines of the historic Il Greppo estate. The 2022 vintage was warm, but the high-altitude vineyards and the BBS11 clone allowed the fruit to maintain its characteristic freshness and poise. Unlike many in the region, Biondi-Santi produces a Rosso intended for ageing, using traditional fermentation and 12 months in large Slavonian oak casks. This 2022 bottling serves as a sophisticated introduction to the estate style, offering immediate charm alongside the potential for future development.
