Trimbach Schlossberg Riesling 2019 is a Grand Cru Riesling from the Alsace region of northern France. Located in the village of Ribeauvillé, Trimbach is one of the most historic winemaking families in Alsace. The estate is now run by the 12th generation of the family, Pierre and Jean. Trimbach is renowned for its restrained, energetic style of Alsatian white wine (`Protestant` rather than `Catholic` is how the family would describe it). In particular the family`s Rieslings possess a laser-like acidity and restrained complexity which may only be revealed slowly over many years of bottle age. Although historically averse to adopting the cru classification system in the naming of its wines, Trimbach now bottles both Geisberg and Schlossberg Grands Crus. This is rich, intense and pure, with the trademark laser-like acidity and mineral verve of Trimbach Riesling.
