Screaming Eagle is perhaps the most famous California Cult winery of all time and produces one of the most sought-after wines in the world. Sourced from a small, 57-acre vineyard in Oakville, Napa, production of this exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon-based blend is supremely limited and older vintages are increasingly rare. The 2005 vintage is a blend of 98% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Cabernet Franc, aged in 67% new French oak for 21 months. Awarded 95 points by the Wine Spectator, who described the wine as follows, "Pure, rich and concentrated, offering a wonderful mix of cedar-laced currant, black cherry and wild berry fruit that`s both intense and supple, with excellent depth, focus and persistence on the finish."
