Spottswoode Estate was created in 1882 but it was only a century later in 1982 that Mary and Jack Novak released their first Cabernet Sauvignon. Since that inaugural vintage they have cemented a reputation as once of the finest producers in California, renowned for their incredibly high quality and remarkably consistent Bordeaux blends. This is the flagship wine and is their ultimate expression of Cabernet Sauvignon from their organically farmed estate vineyard. The 1995 is subtle and elegant yet possesses warmth, dimension and attractive notes of cherry, dried rose, anise, tobacco, tar, orange zest and sandalwood.
