Merchant's description
Château Taillefer is a 12-hectare wine estate located within the Pomerol appellation. Its vineyard is planted to Merlot [75%] and Cabernet Franc [25%]. In 1923 the Château was acquired by Antoine Moueix, it was in fact the first property bought by the Moueix family in Bordeaux. This release is from the 1983 vintage which was particularly good for the Merlot-dominant Right Bank.
