Merchant's description

Château Talbot 1999 is a mature, Cabernet Sauvignon-based red wine from the St-Julien appellation of Bordeaux. With a rich history dating back to the 15th century, the St-Julien Fourth Growth Château Talbot is one of the best-known wine estates in Bordeaux. The property stretches over a 110ha single block vineyard, of which 102.5ha are dedicated to its Grand Vin. "Scents of dried herbs, underbrush, cassis, and currants emerge from this attractively perfumed, supple, spicy, medium-bodied St.-Julien. It possesses a succulent texture, low acidity, and soft tannin." Robert Parker, 2002
